CNTRL012 is the first release on the label from an international based artist, Plaztik a Mexican DJ and producer steps in for his CNTRL Records debut. The ‘In This House’ EP is a 2 track release which features two modern sounding club cuts. The lead track on this release ‘In This House (Original Mix)’ is an aggressive track throughout, the drum grooves are snappy and the bassline pumps. This is the bright modern day tech house sound that we’ve all become accustom too. The B-Side ‘Dance With Me (Original Mix)’ packs a catchy vocal hook, a chunky bassline & a more darker sounding vibe to ‘In This House’ but it still has enough punch for any peak time set and will inject endless energy into any dance floor. 2020 continues to be one of the strangest years in most peoples life times but hopefully these releases improve it.
Situated in the culture rich México Luis Nuñez aka ‘Plaztik’ currently finds himself amongst the most respected underground DJ’s in the country. The self-taught DJ and producer had his crucial breakthrough in 1998 this was the year he first started to perform in nightclubs. Following on from that breakthrough he gained enough recognition and respect to earn himself a residency at ‘CUBO’ a extremely important venue in México.
The years of hard work and determination have seen Luis be nominated for ‘BEST DJ of MEXICO’ not once or twice but an impressive three times, its this sort of success and sets which are definitely characterised as energetic House & Tech House that have given him the chance to share the stage with some huge DJ’s. Having already supported names like Roger Sanchez, Coyu, Stefano Noferini, Rodriguez Jr, Lee K, Julian Jeweil, Dash Berlin and Steve Aoki the focused is now on his own productions and getting growing his own label ‘Fresh Stuff Records’.
